Disguising and Other Tricks
One feature available to ALL silencer agents, is the disguise ability. Using the [KEYPAD 5] key, you can change your appearance to look like a civilian. You will see colored armbands to help pick your character out in a crowd; but enemies will NOT see these markings. Using your jetpack, firing a weapon, or deploying objects will remove the disguise.

You can still hack while disguised!

When disguised, you will automatically walk along like a normal civilian. To change your direction of travel, tap the key once to move in the desired direction. Note that you can still run if you hold down the key - but you run more slowly than when you are not disguised.
The basic usefulness of disguising, is to avoid government detection (robots, guards, gov't. turrets). However, you can also use the disguise to avoid detection by other agents. This can be useful, for example, when you want to hang around an area that a secret is being beamed to. You can look innocent until the enemy grabs the secret; and then ambush them.
MOST agents, however, give themselves away when disguised. The reason for this, is that they don't act like civilians. Remember the following things: civilians don't climb ladders, don't jump, don't run (unless a firefight breaks out around them), and don't hack. If you see a civilian doing any of these, its an enemy agent. Likewise, if an agent sees YOU doing any of these things, assume that they know YOU are really an agent.
Ambushing is a dirty, but fun (and often profitable) way to gain the advantage in Silencer. Simple things - like waiting at an area that you KNOW the enemy has to pass through (to collect information or a secret), and then throwing a well timed bomb or flare as they run by - can generate nice returns; but you must know when to give up a chase, and when to really spend your time hacking.
Yet another trick, is strategic use of your jetpack when you are carrying a secret. When carrying a secret, you will move more slowly on the ground. However, in the air you are not slowed down at all; so leaping long distances with the jetpack can speed your secret-recovery time (and safety factor) by a lot!
The last time-saver I'll reveal here, is that you don't take damage from falling. So instead of climbing down ladders, either run off the ends of ledges; or just barely begin to climb down a ladder, and then jump off of it (press the [SPACE BAR] on a ladder to let go of it). You fall much faster than you climb down, and it may be a valuable tip to be able to get away from security guards and enemies who don't follow this practice.
